  • milk – 1 cup
  • ground cinnamon – ½ teaspoon
  • honey, sugar – to taste

Preparation process:

  1. Pour cold milk into a pot and add salep while constantly stirring.
  2. Mix until smooth and heat until thickened, but do not boil.
  3. Pour the prepared salep into a cup, sprinkle with cinnamon, and optionally add honey and sugar.

Salep is drunk hot. So you can serve it immediately.

Instant salep packets are sold in stores. They are inexpensive, but the percentage of orchid root content is minimal. Preparing salep from a packet is very simple: just pour boiling milk over the contents, add sugar and cinnamon to taste.

Remember: exporting the orchid bulb itself is prohibited. You can only export the powder.
