Beldibi (Turkey) is a resort village located in Antalya province near the city of Kemer. The population of the area is no more than 10,000 people. Beldibi is approximately 50 km away from Antalya airport and 13 km from the center of Kemer. The village is located on the Mediterranean coast and stretches for 7 km along its shores parallel to the Taurus Mountains. Overall, Beldibi is essentially one long street along which hotels, residential buildings, and shops are built.
Several decades ago, the village of Beldibi (Turkish: Beldibi) in Turkey was a simple village mainly inhabited by shepherds. It is believed that the first settlements in this area appeared in the 2nd-1st centuries BC. At the end of the 20th century, the first hotels were built here, and since then, the village began developing as a tourist destination. Today, Beldibi is a popular Turkish resort offering travelers developed infrastructure, picturesque beaches, and interesting attractions.
Beldibi has more than twenty hotels, ranging from budget establishments without stars to elite five-star hotels on the seafront. Along the main street of the village, Ataturk Caddesi, various cafes and restaurants with local cuisine are lined up in a chain. There are also good shopping opportunities: local bazaars and small shops are available to tourists. Beach activities include water sports such as parasailing, banana boat rides, and jet skiing. So there are plenty of places to go and things to see in Beldibi.
The village is quite miniature, making it easy to get around on foot. And if you want to visit neighboring resorts, you can always use taxi services or take a dolmus. Vacation in Beldibi will primarily appeal to lovers of peace and quiet. It’s quite cozy here, with no noisy bars and clubs. And those who can’t imagine their vacation without nightlife and extensive shopping will always find opportunities for such activities in nearby Kemer. You can see a review of Kemer’s beaches and its surroundings on this page.
Despite its miniature size, the village of Beldibi in Turkey offers several interesting attractions to see. Some of them are located within the area itself, others in the surrounding vicinity.
What to see in Beldibi first? While at the resort, be sure to visit the main village mosque. The attraction is located in the very center of the village, so finding it won’t be difficult. This is a very young mosque, built in the current century, representing a miniature structure decorated with a large green dome in the center. The entrance to the building is constructed as a vaulted terrace, whose roof is crowned by 3 small sub-domes. The temple has only 1 minaret with a tower, painted in the bright green color characteristic of Islam.
Tourists can visit any active mosque in Turkey absolutely free of charge. If you want to go inside the temple, look at the interiors and absorb the atmosphere, do so between prayers.
Among the attractions of Beldibi village in Turkey, the local caves are the most popular. They were discovered by Turkish scientists in 1956 and became a real discovery in archaeological circles. After lengthy research, 6 layers relating to different historical periods were identified in the caves. Fragments of ancient household items and weapons were also found on their territory. Many discovered items were made from animal bones.
Today, these artifacts can be viewed in the main museum of Antalya. And in the caves themselves, even today, it’s not difficult to distinguish ancient drawings depicting people and animals. The attraction is spread along the bank of the Beldibi River, on the opposite side of which you should also visit a modest but picturesque waterfall.
What other Beldibi attractions can you see independently? The next interesting object is located just 5 km south of the village in a town called Goynuk. Here spreads the eponymous canyon, attracting tourists with its mountain landscapes, pine forests, and emerald river waters. Here you’ll experience a real adventure, during which you’ll have to cross an icy river and huge stone boulders. You can rent all necessary equipment on the park’s territory. It takes at least two hours to complete the full distance of the gorge. And upon completion of the activity, all visitors have an excellent opportunity to arrange a victorious feast in a special barbecue area.
Vacation in Turkey in Beldibi, of course, is not limited to staying within the village. In neighboring cities and villages, there are many interesting attractions that are easy to reach independently. For example, in Kemer itself, you can look at “Moonlight” park, and in its surroundings – at Mount Yanartash and Tahtali. Lovers of ancient ruins will enjoy the Ancient city of Phaselis. If you’re vacationing with children, be sure to visit the interactive Dinopark in Goynuk. More detailed information about each attraction is presented in our separate article.
Now you know what to see in Beldibi independently. It’s time to familiarize yourself with accommodation options at the resort and study the price range for hotel room rentals.
Just looking at photos of Beldibi in Turkey is enough to understand how picturesque this place is. Thanks to its location on the Mediterranean coast, today the village has transformed into a flourishing resort that offers hotels for any taste and budget. In the summer season, staying in an inexpensive establishment here will cost $20-40 for two per night. But most tourists still look for five-star options that work on an “all-inclusive” system. The price range in this segment is quite wide: there are five-star hotels where it’s possible to stay for $100 per night, and elite hotels where accommodation costs start from $250.
We’ve studied various Beldibi hotels, looked at their photos, and highlighted several most worthy hotels that have received positive tourist reviews.
Club Hotel Rama 3* — one of the most budget-friendly options with an “all-inclusive” concept, has a high rating on Booking.com. The hotel has its own beach. In high season, booking a double room in this hotel costs $108.
Baia Kemer Club (ex. Club Salima) — a hotel with beautiful and well-maintained grounds, 2 outdoor pools, and a private equipped beach. In summer, renting a room for two per night is $245.
Rixos Sungate 5* — this is a huge hotel complex with its own beach, water park, spa and fitness centers. Works on an “all-inclusive” system. In summer months, staying at the hotel will cost $380 per night for two.
In private photos of Beldibi village taken by tourists, you can often see local cafes and restaurants surrounded by green gardens. Indeed, there are plenty of food establishments at the resort. Most of them are oriented towards visitors, but you’ll also find simple eateries with quite moderate prices here. Some restaurants are located near the coast and are set up on green lawns in the shade of trees.
Often travelers prefer to organize their vacation independently and rent inexpensive accommodation in Beldibi, where meals are not included in the concept. In such cases, tourists eat at street cafes and restaurants. If you also belong to this category of vacationers, it will be useful for you to know approximate prices in village establishments.
Photos of the beach in Beldibi village promise us blue sea waters surrounded by picturesque landscapes. Is this really so? Before the place became a favorite beach resort, its shores were covered with large pebbles. Subsequently, hotels that grew on the coast brought sand to their beaches, thus transforming the coverage into sandy-pebbly. Today, the municipal beach is most popular in the village, but there are also interesting places known only to a few.
This is the most crowded beach in Beldibi, spread out in the center of the village. The shore here stretches for a distance of no more than 1 km. The coast is sandy-pebbly, and in the west, there are also stones in the water, so before visiting this place, we advise buying coral shoes. The beach offers all the benefits of civilization, from paid sun loungers to toilets. A water sports club operates on the territory, where anyone can order a parasailing flight or banana boat ride. There are a couple of cafes near the shore, and grocery stores are open. In summer months, a large number of vacationers gather here, so many tourists prefer the wild beach to the municipal one.
Beldibi’s wild beach is located at the very beginning of the village near the Amara Premier Palace hotel. On the map, you can find it under the name “Antalya yakamoz beach”. This is a sandy-pebbly shore, framed on one side by cliffs with green pines, and on the other by the clean blue sea. There are practically no vacationers on the beach, so it’s ideal for those seeking peace and solitude. No infrastructure is provided here; the area is completely wild. Approximately 500 m west of the beach, you can find several restaurants with local cuisine.
Beldibi village is characterized by a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, rainy winters. The warmest and sunniest months here are July, August, and September, when the air temperature during the day stays within 29-32°C. The sea in this period warms up sufficiently (28-29°C) and is ideal for swimming with children.
Those who can’t tolerate heat would best come to Beldibi in June (28°C) or October (24°C): during this time, the water temperature in the sea is quite comfortable for swimming (25°C). Many visit the village in May, but this month is often accompanied by rains, and the sea doesn’t have time to warm up to acceptable temperatures (21.5°C). Thus, the ideal period for visiting Beldibi can be called the interval from June to October.
There are no direct buses from Antalya airport to Beldibi village. Therefore, first you need to get to the city bus station on regular bus #800 or #600. Then you need to buy a ticket to Kemer: buses depart every half hour from 06:00 to 22:00 daily. After arriving in Kemer, you’ll need to transfer to a dolmus heading to Beldibi.
Of course, this is quite an exhausting journey, and if you don’t want to spend energy and time on public transport, you can easily use taxi services or arrange a transfer in advance. If ordering a car from local companies, the cost of the trip from the airport to the village will be about $40-50 (accommodates up to 4 passengers).
Beldibi (Turkey) will primarily be appreciated by seekers of quiet, measured rest surrounded by picturesque nature. The village is ideal for families with small children. At the same time, lovers of active nightlife can also vacation here, as Kemer with its numerous clubs and bars is only 13 km from the village. Overall, Beldibi’s infrastructure is no less developed than the infrastructure of other similar villages in Turkey. It has its unique attractions and secluded beaches, so vacation at the resort promises to be rich and unforgettable.
