<p>Enthusiasts from the European Commission&#8217;s Joint Research Center have created a special application for smartphones that will allow users to mark and find little-known European landmarks.</p>
<p><a href="https://mandry.club/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Cultural-Gems1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-2330" src="https://mandry.club/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Cultural-Gems1-1024x494.jpg" alt="Cultural Gems" width="750" height="362" /></a>The <a href="https://culturalgems.jrc.ec.europa.eu/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Cultural Gems</a> map will not only mark museums or architectural monuments. It is planned that tourists and locals will share information about more folk objects &#8211; authentic bars and cafés, interesting shops, workshops that are never mentioned in traditional guidebooks.</p>
<p>The application is already available for 168 cities in 30 countries, including both European capitals (<a href="https://mandry.club/en/cities/paris/">Paris</a>, <a href="https://mandry.club/en/cities/barcelona-spain/">Barcelona</a>, <a href="https://mandry.club/en/cities/vienna-austria/">Vienna</a>), and less visited ones, for example, Gratz, <a href="https://mandry.club/en/cities/bilbao-spain/">Bilbao</a>. The creators of Cultural Gems believe that it will also be useful for local authorities: they will see which city attractions are really popular and can help to create an attractive image of the city for tourists.</p>
