Enthusiasts from the European Commission’s Joint Research Center have created a special application for smartphones that will allow users to mark and find little-known European landmarks.
The application is already available for 168 cities in 30 countries, including both European capitals (Paris, Barcelona, Vienna), and less visited ones, for example, Gratz, Bilbao. The creators of Cultural Gems believe that it will also be useful for local authorities: they will see which city attractions are really popular and can help to create an attractive image of the city for tourists.
